Course Objective

The Objective of this course is to navigate the Excel program to enable the user to create professional spread sheets with calculations and enhanced formatting and Page formatting to adequately print professional spreadsheets.

Prerequisite

Users must have a good understanding of Windows and are able to use the mouse and the keyboard with ease.

  • Identify Elements of the Excel Interface. Including the Ribbon, Quick Access Toolbar and Formula Bar
  • Entering numbers, text and dates
  • Basic formulas using the following Operators:
    • Plus, Minus, Multiply and Divide
  • Basic Functions
    • Sum Function – Add a range
    • Min Function – Find the lowest number in a range
    • Max Function – Find the highest number in a range
    • Average Function – Average a range of numbers
    • Count Function – Counts the number of cells that have numbers
  • Copy and Paste Cells
  • Using the AutoSum and Auto-fill features
